Kidnapping, Battery Suspect On The Run |

On November 18, 2008, authorities in Nye County, Nev. were alerted to a kidnapping involving a 6-month-old child who they say had been abducted by his father after a violent encounter with the child's mother.
Juliun Stevon Alarid's mother, Staci Warner, told police that she's currently engaged in an ongoing court battle with her estranged husband, Stephen Alarid. Alarid is currently barred from any contact whatsoever with the child.
Cops say Staci had made arrangements with Alarid to meet at a previously agreed upon location.
Cops tell AMW.com that during their meeting, Alarid became irate and grabbed little Juliun, left the residence and got in his vehicle. Staci ran after him and got into Alarid's car in an attempt to stop him from taking the baby.
Police say Alarid drove away with Staci and Juliun in tow. Staci told cops that she attempted to get out of the vehicle with Juliun on numerous occasions however Alarid would not allow them to do so.
After a lengthy drive and several physical assaults later, Alarid forced Staci out of the vehicle. Cops say before he took off with Juliun, he threatened that if Staci called the police she would not get the baby back.
An AMBER Alert was promptly issued to help recover baby Juliun.
Detectives say Juliun was dropped off on his mother's doorstep by Alarid the next morning. Alarid then took off in his gray 1998 Toyota Camry with Nevada Professional Firefighter Plate 0839.
Alarid is described as a 46-year-old Caucasian male, 5'10" tall, 200 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Alarid has tattoos of a snake on a stake on his upper left arm, a "USMC" Marine bulldog on his lower right arm, and a dolphin swimming on his upper left arm.
Cops tell AMW that Alarid may be headed for New Mexico by way of Las Vegas, or also to any number of western states and may be armed with two shotguns and a knife.
