Cops: Man Arrested 33 Times Is Wanted Again |

Cops say a man who has been arrested more than 30 times is now wanted for the rape and assault of his ex-girlfriend.
According to authorities, Charles Marquise Audrey’s most recent offense occurred on August 19, 2008.
Det. Mike Davis of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said Audrey’s ex-girlfriend was returning from dropping her child off at daycare at about 7:45 a.m. As she opened the door of her apartment, he said Audrey grabbed her and forced her inside.
According to police, Audrey then took a meat cleaver from the kitchen and held it to her throat while sexually assaulting her.
When the assault was over, police say Audrey let the woman go; she quickly left the apartment, and Audrey left a short time later.
Cops say Audrey and the woman have known each other since about August 2006. They say the two were in a relationship at one point, but broke up and continued to see each other.
The woman told Audrey she didn’t want to see him anymore, but cops say he wouldn’t take no for an answer.
According to police, Audrey has been arrested 33 times since 1998, and spent time in the federal penitentiary in Jonesville, Va. for a weapons violation.
Cops say the warrants stemming from this incident include first degree kidnapping, first degree rape, breaking and entering, assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of communicating threats and two counts of assault on a female.
In the past, police say, Audrey has been arrested for drug and weapons charges, including possession of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon. |

Cops say Audrey is probably still in the Charlotte, N.C. area, where he grew up.
According to police, Audrey frequents the Harrill Street area, Belmont Street area, Brookhill Apartments at South Tryon and Remount Road area, Tom Hunter Road area and the North Charlotte area.
Cops say Audrey has dark skin, a short afro and a tattoo that reads “Piedmont Courts” on one of his forearms.
He is also known to have scars from gunshot wounds on the left side of his back in the shoulder area and on his left leg.
