  Case Story
Calif. Murder Cabal Hatch A Deadly Plot
On June 28, 2008, authorities in the Silicon Valley suburb of Mountain View, Calif. were called to a grisly crime scene at the home of Omar Aquino and his sister, Maria Aquino-Sanchez. The house had been ransacked, and the siblings had been shot, execution-style. Most tragically, Maria's 8-year-old son was left alone in the house, may have heard the double murders. For weeks, cops went through information culled from the victims' cell phones and worked multiple leads all the while trying to piece together a possible list of suspects. They say then soon discovered that the heist and murder had involved not one, not two, but eight people, including two juveniles. Fame Thomas, 15, and Victoria Thompson, 20, were the first to be arrested.  Nicory Spann, 18, and Michael David Adams, 20, were next. The alleged getaway driver, Kim Pham, 19, was nabbed by police at Norman Mineta San Jose International Airport as they say she was trying to leave town. The last arrest, the suspected muscle of the group, was 6'5", 270 lb. Eric Williams. With six arrests, police say they had a good idea of what happened. According to law enforcement, Fame Thomas went to the movies with Omar Aquino on June 27 while Kenneth Thomas, 20, headed to Mountain View. They say Fame met her sister, Faith, in the movie theater bathroom on the night of the crime. Cops say the Thomas siblings texted each other throughout the night and arranged for Pham and Adams to follow Fame and Aquino back to the victims' home. Once there, authorities say the group ransacked the home and stole electronics and other valuables.  Although Nicory Spann was originally named as the shooter, police don't believe he killed Omar and his sister. Currently, cops say their main suspect is Kenneth Thomas.

Six Down, Two To Go In Murder Manhunt
After the double homicides, police believe the Thomas siblings, Kenneth and Faith, skipped town, touching down in Las Vegas, Texas, Florida, and Georgia.  Cops tell us Kenneth Thomas was most recently spotted outside Atlanta, Ga. with a 15-year-old runaway girl, who police believe Thomas may have pimping out. The teenager's mother discovered -- via the juvenile's MySpace page -- where her daughter was being held. Cops moved in on Thomas, who had set himself up in a hotel room with a view of surrounding streets and intersections, but he was already out the back door of the establishment with only a gun and the clothes on his back by the time they moved in. Georgia authorities returned the 15-year-old to her parents. Cops say Thomas has been swapping out his cell phones while on the lam, making him hard to track.  They say Thomas has found ways to keep money coming in despite his fugitive status. When police interviewed hotel guests and started flyering the area, they discovered that Thomas matched the description of a suspect who robbed and pistol whipped a hotel guest on the floor where he was staying. Authorities say they also found that he had held up both a local Wendy's restaurant and a Metro PCS cell phone store. Kenneth Thomas is currently wanted on two counts of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. His sister Faith is wanted solely on the conspiracy charge.  Faith may be in Florida, and they both could be somewhere in the South. Police tell us Kenneth Thomas is a member of the United Crips Gang, and has a 'UCG' tattoo on his left arm. Faith Thomas likes to color her hair and may have streaks in her hair.  Both are to be considered armed and dangerous.
