Cops: Cuban Molester Scars Indiana Victims |

In October 1974, Jorge Adan Wehby, Jr. entered the United States to begin a new life for himself, leaving his native homeland of Havana, Cuba. In America, cops say he took a job as a linguistics professor, putting his ability to speak fluent Spanish and English to use.
While living in Fort Wayne, Ind., Wehby held positions as a social service assistant and as a translator, in order to provide aid for Ft. Wayne's growing Spanish community.
But despite Wehby’s deceptive appearance -- one of compassion and concern for his fellow man -- he is wanted for five counts of child molestation in Fort Wayne.
Cops say that between May 1983 to July 1986, Wehby committed numerous instances of the heinous crime.
After more than two decades, cops in Indiana are still searching for the man who appears to have literally fallen off the face of the earth. |

On September 25, 1987 an arrest warrant was issued for Wehby, and the following year, a judge in Indiana's Northern District Court issued a federal warrant for his arrest.
Much to their dismay, he has pulled an amazing disappearing act, and federal agents are even considering the possibility that Wehby may have died without anybody noticing.
In the time that's passed, the FBI has contacted the Cuban government to determine Wehby's whereabouts, but they were only able to provide information pertaining to Wehby's arrival to the United States in the mid-1970s.
Police say Wehby has family members residing throughout South Florida, including Miami, and he may be hiding out with them. Alternatively, Wehby may have returned to his native Cuba.
