Federal Agent Gunned Down, Killer On The Run |
|
| |
Police say 52-year-old Donald Pettit was shot and killed on August 5, 2008, in the parking lot of the South Florida Mail Processing Center on Pines Blvd and Dykes Rd in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Police say Donald was a special agent for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He was off duty at the time of the shooting.
Witnesses told investigators that Donald and the suspect engaged in an argument following a road rage incident.
Police say the two men pulled into the South Florida Mail Processing Center. Moments later, a shot rang out and Donald fell to the ground.
Sadly, Donald's 12-year-old daughter was with him when he was shot. He was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital, but died a few hours later. |
