San Francisco Cops Relieved To Find Missing Girl |

On Monday, April 14, 2008, Tina Brown had been working the graveyard shift when she realized that she was not going to be home in time to take her daughter to school.
When Tina contacted her daughter, 12-year-old Billie McGee, Billie volunteered to take the bus to school. But when Tina called the school at 8:30 a.m. to make sure that Billie had arrived safely, school officials told her that Billie never made it. Unsure of what to do, cops say Tina reported her daughter missing, followed the bus route, and went to the school in search of her child.
Cops say that the search for Billie ended two days after she went missing when her mother finally received a call from the girl who had been staying at a friend's home in Oakland, Calif. San Francisco cops say that they received notification from Billie's grandmother that Tina was en route to pick up the girl . When the mother and daughter returned home, the SFPD was there to make sure Billie was safe... and she was.
