Manchester, N.H. Shooting Suspect May Be In Boston |

On April 20, 2007, a young man was sitting in a Manchester, N.H. bar, talking about buying some drugs to celebrate 4/20, and cops say Richard Malave -- a man with a mile-long rap sheet -- heard the buzz and saw an opportunity to score some easy cash.
Detective Scott DiGaetano of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says Malave lured the young man out of the bar and into his car under the ruse of a drug deal. Once Malave had the victim inside the car he pulled out a gun and told him to hand over his money.
The victim made a bold move and attempted to seize Malave's gun. During the struggle, Malave fired, shooting the victim in the stomach, cops say. The victim staggered back to the bar and told the patrons he had been shot. Malave fled the scene. |

Cops say Malave has been arrested many times on charges ranging from shoplifting to assault with a deadly weapon. He was actually picked up three months after cops say he shot the victim during the attempted robbery.
Boston Police picked up Malave in July 2007 for driving with a suspended license. Malave, however, was not yet charged for the alleged April shooting. He was let go, but a photo taken by Boston Police shows that he has since shaved his head.
Cops think he may be in the Brockton, Mass. or greater Boston area. He also has friends and ex-girlfriends in the Lynn, Mass. area, and he may be hiding out there.
He has several tattoos on his body, including a scorpion on his left hand and the word "Esther" tattooed across his abdomen.
