Girlfriend Tied To Heist |
|
| |
The FBI and police in the city of Liberty, Ohio were searching for 22-year-old Roger Dillon and his 24-year-old girlfriend Nicole Boyd. They say the couple was on the run with millions of dollars, gained in one of the biggest heists northeast Ohio has ever seen.
According to Scott Wilson of the Cleveland Field Office of the FBI, this was an inside job. Wilson says Roger Lee Dillon of Youngstown was an employee of the armored car company in Liberty and he has been missing since the November 26, 2007 robbery. According to the FBI, Dillon knew the alarm system.
Wilson says Dillon got into the building and stole $7 million in cash and checks from two safes on Monday night. He says Dillon pulled the tape out of the video surveillance system so that there was no visual evidence left behind. Then, as he left the building, agents say Dillon closed and locked the door, using his employee code and keys.
On Friday, November 30, Dillon was charged with bank larceny. Warrants officially went out for Boyd, as well, charging her with aiding and abetting Dillon. |

Agents say the search went on for Dillon, who was on the run with his girlfriend Nicole Boyd.
Authorities released the description of two cars which were also missing, but they have since been recovered and accounted for. Agents now say they are looking for a third vehicle that Dillon purchased with cash from a dealer after the heist. That vehicle is described as a 1989 black GMC Safari van. The FBI says it has a silver stripe, running boards and a flared fender. |
