Cops: One In Custody, Another On The Run |

Cops in Dallas say on Oct. 27, 2007, two men -- Howard Lee Simon and Dashawn "Dada" Larkin, walked into a convenience store carrying guns. It was around 11:00 p.m.
But what happened next has shocked the community. Cops say the two men shot and killed 43-year-old Abate Hailu, the store owner, who at the time was working as a clerk.

Gruesome Crime Caught On Tape |

Surveillance video has provided cops with a disturbing look of the crime. It's helping them to piece together what happened inside the convenience store and made it easier for cops to identify both shooters.
Howard Lee Simon was taken into custody on Monday Oct. 29, 2007, but Dallas detectives are now working every lead to find Larkin and bring justice to Abate.
They say Larkin could be hiding in Monroe, La. or Tyler, TX. They are also alerting the Dallas community to keep their eyes open in case they come across Larkin in the area. |
