  Case Story
  My Story by Monica Reggi
Not having Remo around has destroyed the person my mom used to be. She doesn't understand why he was taken away from us and she suffers everyday since he's been gone. On September 11, 2005 my brother Remo and his friend were parked at Moser Lane in the hills of El Cerrito, California enjoying the view of the San Francisco Bay when a car described as a possible 1988 Acura Integra with five black guys came driving up the hill. Two men in hooded sweatshirts exited their car and walked up to Remo's driver's side window, and stuck a gun through the open window. Remo struggled with the gunman before starting up his car and attempting to flee. However, the gunman shot Remo as he was driving away, killing him instantly. Remo's killer is described as a juvenile male, about 16-years-old, about 5'6-5'7, 160 lbs., with a dark complexion.  The other assailant was described as 16-years-old, about 5'8-5'9, and skinny with "twisties" in his hair. An award of $100,000.00 is offered to anyone with legitimate information leading up to the arrest and conviction of Remo's killer and/or his assailants. Remo was a good person and was never involved with drugs, alcohol, or anything violent. The things he loved most in life were God, his family, and his friends. He went to church every Sunday and never missed a mass.  Not having Remo around has destroyed the person my mom used to be. She doesn't understand why he was taken away for no reason and she suffers every day since he's been gone. The rest of my brothers, my sister, and I are all changed from this tragedy. Everyone who knew Remo loved him because he was always helping people. The longer this goes on, the colder the trail gets, and the harder it will be to have justice served.
