Hughes On The Run After A Series of Burglaries |
|
| |
Clark County Sheriff's Office and the Arkadelphia, Ark. Police Department are looking for 20-year-old Trenton Scott Hughes for a series of burglaries in and around the Arkadelphia area.
Police say Hughes and his accomplice, 20-year-old Cody Smith, are allegedly responsible for several burglaries of commercial businesses in the county. Police say the duo stole items from Red Ball Oxygen in Gum Springs, R&J's Pit Stop in Curtis, Sonic Drive-In in Arkadelphia, Doug's Grocery and Palmer Service Center, both located in Gurdon, and M&M Enterprises in Smithton.
Police say the duo ran into trouble on July 18, 2007 when Hughes was trying to break into a Coke machine outside a business. Police say a Gurdon Police Officer saw Hughes and approached him. Before the officer could even question Hughes, he took off running. Unfortunately, Hughes left his partner, Smith, behind in a parked car. Police took Smith into custody.Police say they found a firearm, money and computers in Hughes' car.
Police also say Hughes may have been spotted in Clinton, Ark. and may have dyed his hair blond. |
