Dangerous Family Friend |

Cops say Yeni Deleon's family was from the same town in Mexico as Noel Lopez's. The families were friends, even though Lopez lived in San Antonio and Yeni's lived in Oak Ridge, Tenn. But cops say this family friendship took a turn for the worse when Lopez drove up from Texas to visit a friend in Oak Ridge.
At about 5:45 p.m. on July 23, 2007, Yeni went outside her apartment to get a CD from Lopez. Thats when cops say Lopez forced Yeni into his mid-90s tan, four-door Lexus. Some children playing nearby tried to help Yeni, but Lopez pushed them away and drove off.
Yeni has no cell phone or extra clothing with her, and her family is extremely concerned about her safety. Cops confirm there never was a romantic relationship between the Yeni and Lopez, and believe Lopez is heading toward Nashville and then might go back to San Antonio. Lopez doesn't have much money, and might be found sleeping in his car at rest stops along the way. He might also be found working in construction. |
