FBI Agents Seeking Brazen Bank Robbers |
|
| |
Agents say they are plotting and methodical and they get away with a lot of money. Investigators hope the public will help them identify the bold bank robbers caught on surveillance robbing a Chicago suburb bank.
FBI agents say the two armed white men took just 35 seconds to pull off the heist and they fled with a "significant amount of cash." Law enforcement officials think the robbers watched the bank in western suburb LaGrange leading up to the robbery, because they hit immediately prior to an armored car pick-up. They say the timing was no accident.
Eyewitnesses told police that the robbers wore white or flesh-colored opera/actors masks. They say they also wore gloves and possibly wigs.
The robbers are described as two middle-aged, medium-build Caucasian males, one around 5'5" to 5'7" tall and the other 5'11" to 6'0" tall. |

Van Is Key Clue |
|
| |
Agents believe the get-away van, which was stolen and found later abandoned in a warehouse district, could be a big clue to the robbers identities. They are hoping anyone that saw them swapping out the car or using the car will remember what they saw and call in the tip.
Investigators say the license plates were stolen as well, just moments before the robbery from a Brookfield commuter lot.
FBI officials are seeking the identity of the two unknown bandits and a possible third unidentified man who may have been driving the get-away car. |
