  Case Story
The Son Of A Military Man
Bobbie Williams, Jr., nicknamed "BJ", was no stranger to the ideals of patriotism and being a good, law-abiding, American citizen.  He grew up the son of Bobbie Williams, Sr., a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.  Bobbie's mom, Pauline, also works at Bank of America in Military Banking. As children in a military family, BJ and his younger brother and sister were taught to follow and respect the law.  And they were taught to love their country.  Their country that BJ's father served so proudly for twenty years. While studying criminal justice and our legal system, I could have never imagined such a heinous and atrocious act of violence being perpetrated against me or my children.  However, that all changed. Bobbie Williams Sr. has an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice.  He's fought three wars and served in six other operations.  Part of his job is to inform loved ones of fallen soldiers of their deaths and to participate in military burials.

  A Heinous Crime
Pauline Williams was alone on a business trip to Orlando, Florida when she found out.  And she had to tell her family what had happened. I can remember that day as if it was yesterday.  All I could hear was a loud scream, followed by uncontrollable crying and disbelief that this had happened to her first-born child!  I'll never forget that phone call and my wife's voice. BJ moved to his grandparent's home in Florida to pursue a career as a rap star.  From the time BJ moved down there, his parents worried about the crowd BJ might find in the rap business.  But they also respected their son's dreams, and supported him fully. An athlete in high school, yet shy and reserved, BJ never gave his parents much reason to worry. On March 2nd, BJ and his friend Adrian Davis were in the parking lot near a Target in Boynton Beach.  Cops say sometime early that morning, the duo was killed by someone in the back seat.  Adrian was shot twice in the back of the head.  BJ was shot once in the cheek.  He tried to get out of the car, but before he had a chance, he was shot in the head.  Cops think drugs may have been involved.  But the Williams family only knows one thing -- their beloved son and brother is dead.

The First Born -- And Much Loved -- Son
Even though BJ had moved to Florida, he was still a faithful son to his parents.  For years and years, Bobbie Sr. had a dream of going into business with his family.  He wanted to open up several businesses with all of his children, and eventually turn over the businesses to them.  For me personally, my hopes and dreams for what we had discussed throughout his lifetime were taken in the blink of an eye! Just the week before, Bobbie Sr. told his eldest son that the big plans would soon be happening: he was planning to retire from the military in a few years.  Even though BJ was pursuing his dream to be a rap star, he was overjoyed for his dad, and more than excited about the idea of coming home to help him with his businesses. BJ was loyal to his mother too, talking to her regularly, at least once a week.  And he was so excited to fulfill his parents' dream that he started going to school at Palm Beach Community College to learn business skills.  If you had ever met him you would have been impressed by how polite and respectful he was ... BJ was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination; however he was a good and decent person and did not deserve to be brutally shot and killed. Cops are asking anyone who was at that Target on March 2nd, 2007 -- between 1:00 a.m and 6:30 a.m., to call Boynton Beach Police or our tip line at 1-800-CRIME-TV. Bobbie and Pauline Williams just want whoever killed their son to be brought to justice.  They have spent so many hours crying.  Their son had big dreams -- to be a rapper, and a good son who would help his dad in his business goals.  The damage will not and cannot be repaired unless the perpetrator(s) of such a heinous and atrocious act of violence to be brought to justice . . . Catching these fugitives will never completely heal a mother's or father's broken heart, but will ease the daily and constant pain.
