Awakened By Real Life Nightmare |

On Thursday, May 10, 2007 during the wee hours of the morning, two young sisters were sound asleep in their Hagerstown, Md. ground-level apartment bedroom, which they shared.
Around 4:30 a.m., cops say they were awakened in a frightening way -- a man had crawled through their bedroom window. Cops say the man snatched the older child, an 11-year-old girl, and kidnapped her. |

Scared to death, the younger sister, only 7-years-old, ran to her mother and told her what had happened. Their mother frantically called 9-1-1 to report the kidnapping. Police arrived quickly at the house and prepared to search -- but before they could even begin, cops say the 11-year-old child came back to the apartment. Cops say she was disheveled and showed signs of assault -- and that the child told them she'd been raped in the apartment complex's basketball court.
Police searched the area with a helicopter and K-9 cops, but they have been unable to locate the alleged rapist. Cops say the suspect is described as a black male between 5'10" and 6' who was last seen wearing dark pants, dark shoes, a red or orange shirt or jacket, and a black mask on his face. |
