  Case Story
A Truck, A Pond, And Blood
Brandy Hall was well-liked.  She was known as an outdoor lover, gentle mother of two, and tough firefighter.  Her disappearance came as a shock to many and the only clues police have are very troubling. Police say the last time anyone saw Brandy was the night of August 17, 2006.  She was leaving the Malabar Volunteer Fire Department in Malabar, Fla.  Witnesses say Brandy spoke on the phone with someone around 10 p.m. then took off around 10:45 p.m.  The following day Brandy's firefighting gear was discovered by a fisherman.  It was bobbing on the surface of a hidden pond near the fire house.  A cooler she kept in the back of her truck was also floating on the pond's surface, the beer and soda inside still cold.  The fisherman called police, who arrived and made more disturbing discoveries. Brandy's Chevy pick-up truck sat at the bottom of the pond.  Police pulled it out and say their examination of its interior led them to believe this was anything but your normal missing person case.  According to investigators, large amounts of blood were found inside the truck.  They determined the blood was Brandy's, but it wasn't a large enough amount to assume she was dead.  The pond was drained, but there was no sign of Brandy's body.  Police were stumped.  The fact that Brandy's life seemed to be falling apart around the time of her disappearance led police to develop several theories about what might've happened to her.

  Mysterious Circumstances
In the months before her disappearance, Brandy's life had entered a tumultous phase.  She was fired from her job as firefighter with the Palm Bay Fire Department after 10 years of service.  Police say she lost her job because of the controversy surrounding her husband's arrest in a marijuana growing scheme.  The day after Brandy disappearead Jeffrey Hall, the former Osceola County fire chief  was convicted of running a large growing operation on their property.  Cops say he ran the operation with former firefighting partner Paul Hirsch.  The men were accused of selling large amounts of potent marijuana to buyers every two months, clearing about $30,000 in profit with each sale.  Brandy claimed ignorance of the crime, but the suspicions the crime raised were enough to cause her to lose her job.  Brandy was suddenly out of work, and the father of her two young children was facing jail time.  Nonetheless, she joined the Malabar Volunteer Fire Department, where she worked for no pay.  Jeffrey's arrest caused a huge rift in their marriage and police also suspect Brandy may have been having an affair with another firefighter.  Some people theorize that Brandy might've tried to fake her death and walk away from her troubles.  But despite the chaos in her life, Brandy's friends agree that she would never have voluntarily left her children.  She and Jeffrey have a daughter and son together.

  Dead Ends
Police have looked at everything - from phone records to bank records.  As of today, nothing has turned up.  There are no clues that Brandy is still alive.  But the stituation is treated officially as a missing persons case, because police just don't have enough to conclude she was murdered, despite all the signs of foul play.  The investigation has hit a brick wall, and cops need your help.  Brandy's family has also added a $10,000 reward for information about her disappearance.
