A History Of Violence |
|

Craig Daniels has a history of violence. And it seems that his violence tends to center around a specific person. That person is his ex-girlfriend, Alicia Castillon, who cops say he repeatedly stalked, threatened, and assaulted.
In 1999, Daniels served five years in prison after being convicted of abducting and assaulting Castillion.
Upon his release for that crime, police say he abducted and assaulted Alicia again, this time binding her hands together and threatening her with a knife.
In January 2007, Daniels was arrested once again, this time for allegedly stalking Alicia. Much to the horror of Alicia and her family, Daniels was released on his own recognizance. |

The Night Stalker |

The fears of Alicia and her family turned out to be well-founded. On March 29, 2007, 9-1-1 operators received a heartbreaking emergency call at 3 in the morning. A 10-year-old girl made a hysterical phone call, telling the 9-1-1 operator that she had just witnessed her step-father break into her house and shoot her mother and another man.
While sobbing on the phone, she managed to say that she had not been hurt, and neither had her younger siblings, but her step-father was gone.
By the time police and emergency personnel arrived on the scene, 30-year-old Alicia Castillon and her 22-year-old friend, John Mitchell, were both dead. |

Police say that Daniels was long gone by the time they arrived at the murder scene. The 10-year-old witness told police that her step-father told her to stay out of the room where he shot her mother, and then he left.
Cops thought Daniels might be headed toward Louisville, Ohio, where his mother lived, but they ran out of clues when they found the truck he had fled in abandoned in Stark County. Now, police have no new leads to go on, but are determined to find this violent criminal. |
