Who Knows What Happened To Coreen Wiese? |
|
| |
When Coreen Wiese came up missing on November 8, 2006 police in Maine didn't have much to work with. They had no suspects and few witnesses to account for what happened to her the day she disappeared. All they did know was that the bus dropped her off at Bonny Eagle High School in the early morning and she didn't show up for class.
Police say the last time anyone saw Coreen she was loitering around a bridge near Buxton off of Route 25. The witness who saw her that morning claimed he drove her to the market because of the story Coreen made up that her grandmother was sick. He says he dropped her back off after giving her the lift. Police confirmed his statement with other witnesses who later saw Coreen by the bridge around 4 p.m.
Authorities questioned everyone in the neighborhood who may have noticed the young girl out of school, but no one could come up with any answers. |

Surprising Clues Emerge |
|
| |
It wasn't until two days later that some interesting clues surfaced. Police found her cell phone and MP3 player on a steel beam where she was last seen underneath the bridge. What disturbed them the most were the words written just underneath where her personal belongings were sitting.
Several messages were scratched into the beam. It read Coreen's birthdate and the date she went missing, "7/22/91-11/8/06," along with the words "Coreen Wiese RIP.
Cops have come up with a number of scenarios as to what may have happened to Coreen. They believe she could have been waiting for someone, possibly ran away, or even committed suicide. So far, the more than 100 volunteers, tracking dogs, neighbors, and eye witnesses have not been able to close the case, yet. |
