  Case Story
  Bitter Battle Over Baby
By the time Jocelyn Faber had reached the age of 9 months, she had already had a tough life. Jocelyn's parents, who had never married, were engaged in a dispute over custody of the young girl. According to court documents, temporary sole custody had been granted to Brian Faber, the young girl's biological father. Brian was awarded custody over the mother, Beth Peterson, because Peterson was constantly missing her court dates, was unemployed, and wanted to live outside of Wisconsin, away from the rest of her daughter's family. On August 20, 2005, Peterson confronted Brian after he arrived home from work at 6 a.m. As Brian stooped to remove his infant daughter from the backseat of his car, another car screeched to a halt behind him. According to police, Peterson then stepped out of the car and grabbed Jocelyn out of Brian's arms. At this point, cops say a neighbor, who Brian knew only as "Hamilton,"  noticed the dispute taking place and offered to call the police. Hamilton then allegedly offered to hold Jocelyn until the police arrived. At this point Brian turned towards his house and tried to wake his parents, who were inside sleeping. When he turned back towards the street a moment later, he saw Hamilton placing Jocelyn roughly in the backseat of Peterson's car.

  Gone In A Moment
As Brian watched, the car that now held his daughter took off with Beth Peterson in the front seat. Police say that Peterson's mother was the one actually driving the car. "Hamilton," the man who had appeared as soon as the trouble began, took off on foot, and disappeared behind the condominium complex where Brian lived. At this point Brian ran inside his house, woke his parents, and called the police. Cops say that Brian has not seen his daughter, or his ex-girlfriend, since that day.

  Father In Desperate Search
Brian Faber and his father hired a private investigator to try and find his Jocelyn. They found an address in Lewisville, Texas, where Peterson's mother allegedly lived. When this lead was followed up, they found that Peterson's mother was indeed living in Texas. However, she said that her daughter had gone to visit friends in Oklahoma, but she did not know where. Apparently nobody has seen or heard from Beth Peterson since that day.
