Cops Say Convicted Sex Offender Hits The Road With Daughter |

On February 12, 2007, Inver Grove Heights, Minn. police received a call, saying a girl had been abducted by her non-custodial father. Usually, parental abductions are serious matters but investigators quickly learned that this case was even more dire: the alleged abductor is a convicted sex offender.
According to her mother, 14-year-old Deidre Jeanne Michuda was taken by her father, 34-year-old Stephen Michael Michuda. It is unclear whether the girl went willingly or not, but investigators know Stephen has a prior conviction for a sex offense he has an order prohibiting him from any unsupervised contact with Deidre. |

Investigators say both Stephen and Deidre Michuda may be in a green 1998 Chevy Venture minivan, with Minnesota plates GUB-014. Police want people to pay close attention to the driver's side door, which has a dent.
Deidre was last seen wearing a marching band sweatshirt and Stephen often wears a green Army jacket. He is 5'7", 180 pounds with blue eyes, brown shaved hair and a goatee. |
