Police Issue AMBER Alert For Four Children |

Police are rushing to find four endangered children and their mother after a man allegedly held them at gunpoint, then forced them into a vehicle and sped away.
On Jan. 20, 2007, cops say Jerry White broke into ex-girlfriend Kimberly Walker's home in Elkhart, Indiana. But that was just the beginning. Cops say the incident intensified after White shot the boyfriend of Kimberly's sister and held the entire family hostage for about nine hours.
Following the standoff, police say White forced Walker and her children into a car. The abducted children are Jaylan Walker, 9; Justin Walker, 8; Kyara Walker, 6; and Kayla Walker -- who is just 16-months-old. While the situation is scary enough, police say Jaylan's health could be in extreme jeopardy. He suffers from asthma and depends on a ventilator -- something that was left behind.
An AMBER Alert is now in effect for the entire family. Initially, cops said White could be driving either a 2000 red four-door Dodge Intrepid or a 1993 beige two-door Saturn. However, police recovered the cars Saturday in Elkhart. It's possible White could be headed to Chicago. |
