  Case Story
A Storm Didn't Take Our Boy
Clouds hung thick in the air the afternoon 9 year old Scott Kleeschulte disappeared.  He was last seen walking along Ken Drive in St. Charles, Missouri around 4:30 p.m. on June 8, 1988.  A massive storm moved through, and a witness told police Scott was seen walking both before and after the storm hit.  But Scott never made it home. It rained hard that day, and some people believed Scott got swallowed up in a flash flood.  Streams were dredged.  Man-made tunnels and caves were searched.  But Scott was nowhere to be found.  His family believed he'd been abducted.

Missing Children Cases In St. Louis Area Get A New Look
Scott's case was one of many police hoped would suddenly have new leads, after the arrest of Michael Devlin on January 12, 2007.  Devlin was charged with kidnapping two boys, Ben Ownby and Shawn Hornbeck.  Both boys were found alive in Devlin's apartment in Kirkwood, Missouri.  Ben had been held for four days.  Shawn had been held for four and a half years. St. Charles police Captain Gerry Pollard said he'll question Devlin about Scott's disappearance.
