Man Vanishes After Friend Is Found Murdered |

Cops in Aurora, Colo. are searching for Luis Solares-Ramirez. They say he disappeared after his friend, Orlin Euceda, was found stabbed to death in Orlin's van on Jan. 23, 2005. According to cops, on Jan. 22, 2005 Solares-Ramirez spent all day drinking with Orlin. At night, they headed back to Orlin's house, and their drinking continued.
Cops believe that at some point, alcohol kicked in and triggered a physical confrontation between the two friends. During the argument, Orlin's cell phone was broken. But even when the two had had a lot of alcohol, they figured it was not enough and left the house in Orlin's van to get more. Cops say they stopped at another friend's house and stayed there drinking until around midnight when they left. And cops say that was the last time Orlin was seen alive. |

The morning of Jan. 23, 2005, Orlin's wife grew anxious and called Solares-Ramirez's apartment, where he lived with three other people. They told her that Solares-Ramirez and Orlin were not there.
That same morning at around 8:00 a.m., Solares-Ramirez contacted his roommates. He told them that Orlin Euceda had been murdered the night before and that he had been kidnapped and released, but that he didn't know where he was.
Solares-Ramirez returned to his apartment in the afternoon and once again told his roommates that Orlin had been murdered by unknown suspects and that he had been kidnapped. At that point his roommates urged him to tell Orlin's wife about the incident.
It was around 4:00 p.m. and Solares-Ramirez called Orlin's wife, but cops say he told her a slightly different story of the murder and alleged kidnapping.
Solares-Ramirez then told his roommates that he was going to church and left without his belongings.

Cops say Solares-Ramirez was spotted at a local church. But since that day nobody has seen him or heard from him.
Orlin's wife and Solares-Ramirez's roommates believe that he may have fled to Miami, Florida where he has relatives.
Solares-Ramirez is originally from Guatemala and is an illegal immigrant. Cops say that two weeks before the murder he went to the Aurora Police Department to report that his Guatemalan passport had been stolen or lost. Now, cops at the Aurora Police Department want to see him again to ask him questions about Orlin Euceda's murder. |
