Few Clues in Mysterious Disappearance |
|
| |
On Nov. 19, 2006 Nonnie Dotson vanished without a trace. And the people she left behind -- including her 16-month-old daugther -- hope that someday, somehow, she will return home.
Since she mysteriously disappeared, cops say there are few clues to indicate where she is and whether or not foul play is a factor.
The Sunday of her disappearance, the 33-year-old left her brother's home around noon to run errands. Nonnie works as a nurse at the Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio but was in Denver visiting her family. She asked her brother to look after Savannah -- her little girl -- and then walked out the front door. That was the last time Nonnie's family saw her.
Detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office in Colorado say she was likely headed to a nearby shopping center. But she didn't drive there. Police say the shopping area was within walking distance, and that Nonnie decided walk there.
Since then, police have been hard at work retracing the steps that could hopefully lead them to her. |

Retracing Nonnie's Steps |
|
| |
The day before Nonnie disappeared, she allegedly went out dancing at a local night spot. But police are not sure whether or not Nonnie's night out is connected to her disappearance.
In fact, after Nonnie vanished, one of her family members allegedly received a phone call from a man who said that two men had been hassling her at the night club she was at. However, the night she went out, Nonnie's brother said she had made it home safely so it's unclear whether or not the tip has any significance.
And while Nonnie had been working in San Antonio at the Lackland Air Force Base, police say she only had three months left of service.
Cops also managed to trace Nonnie's cell phone to Littleton, Colorado, however they have not recovered the phone and Nonnie has not used it in several days. Sadly, cops say that little Savannah is not doing well in her mother's absence -- she became very sick after her mother disappeared and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Nonnie's family is desperate for answers and say they just want to see her return home safely. She is 5'3" tall, has brown hair and brown eyes. |
