Cops say Un Sun Brown was running one of those illegal storefronts in downtown D.C. She is charged with a number of violations related to conspiracy in human trafficking, and using women for prostitution. Investigators say Brown was the manager of the "14K Spa," located in Washington, D.C. |

Agents say the trafficking process usually begins when recruiters find women in Korea who want to live in the United States. Those recruiters are responsible for getting the women to the US. Once the females arrive, official ICE and FBI documents say, the women are placed into a network of brothels. The females are turned over and held in custody of the brothel owner or manager. That's when the prostitution ring takes over, and if women try to get out of the brothel, they are told their families in Korea could be harmed or that they will be turned over to US law enforcement.
When Brown was allegedly running her brothel in the nation's capitol, investigators say she was living in Silver Spring, Maryland. Brown uses a few different aliases, and it's hard to tell where she is now. Hopefully someone will recognize her. |
