Cops Say Cunnings Is An Unfit Mother |

A four-year-old child is involved in a dangerous custody battle. On Wednesday, September 27, 2006, police say Jennifer Cunnings abducted her daughter Natasha Richlefs out of Howell, Michigan. They say Cunnings stole her sister's SUV and lied to her family that she was taking Natasha to the Brighton Area of Michigan. The family says Cunnings instead took Natasha miles away from home. This has everyone worried about Natasha's safety.
Police say Cunnings lost custodial rights of Natasha just a short time ago. They claim Cunnings has a serious drug problem. That's why authorities say Cunnings lost all rights to take care of Natasha. |

Authorities say Cunnings showed up around 5:15 p.m. in a copper colored 2006 Ford Escape SUV with Michigan license plate 9FWB16. Police believe Cunnings may have taken Natasha all the way to her home in Dayton, Ohio.
The family is worried that Cunnings could possibly hurt the toddler if she goes on another one of her drug binges. Police agree that Natasha may be in danger if she is left with Cunnings for long. |

Police say Natasha was last seen wearing a blue shirt and matching blue pants with a pink hoodie. She is three foot six inches and about 46 lbs. with blond hair and blue eyes.
Cunnings is 24 years old with brownish blond hair and brown eyes. She is five foot nine and 115 lbs. Cunnings was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Cops say a noticeable scar on Cunnings' right cheek and a tattoo on her lower back are significant clues that will hopefully lead to her arrest. |
