Manhunt Launched After Execution Style Killing |

Authorities in Rhode Island have lauched a massive manhunt for two men wanted for a cold-blooded, execution-style murder. According to officials Alonzo Shelton spent more than three years behind bars serving time for drug charges and attempted murder. But, while he was supposed to be contemplating his past crimes and starting a path to a new life, police say Shelton was really plotting and planning his next attack. According to officials, just days after he was released from prison, on July 27, 2006, Shelton and his friend Barry Offley broke into a Pawtucket apartment and shot two women.
Police say Jessica Imran was shot -execution style - once in the head. Police say the bullet was fired at close range behind her right ear, killing her instantly. Her friend, Julie Lange, survived the attack with multiple gunshot wounds. According to officials, Shelton and Offley fled the scene when they thought both women were dead.
But, police say Julie fought for her life, crawling out of the apartment, searching for help. With cell phone in hand, Julie dialed 911, but was too injured to talk. Fortunately, police were able to track her location with the GPS service on her cell phone. When authorities arrived at the apartment, they found Julie barely alive, hiding outside of her friend's home. |

Jessica Imran, a 24-year-old single mother, was working hard to provide for her 3-year-old daughter. Recently engaged, Jessica's spirit could not be broken. Friends and family describe her as a woman with a "six foot personality, in a four foot body."
Her contagious smile will never be forgotten, and Jessica's enchanting personality will be sorely missed by those who knew her. Now, police are searching for the two men they say are responsible for Jessica's death: Alonzo Shelton and Barry Offley. Shelton has the letters "BAM" tattooed on his chest and may be hiding out with Offley in New York, Massachusetts or Rhode Island. |
