  Case Story
Decades With No Justice For Vermont Community
Cops say that for decades, Michael Reapp has gotten away with the murder of his wife, Grace, and 5-year-old daughter, Gracie. But since no bodies had been found, it was hard for authorities to get a warrant for Reapp's arrest. But now, after years of investigating, they've got one and they're on the hunt for a man who's spent years avoiding the law. On June 7, 1978, police in Jericho, Vt. received a call from Reapp, who claimed that his wife and daughter were missing from their home. He also told them that Grace left a note, saying that she was leaving him and that he shouldn't go after her. But cops didn't buy it. Their investigations revealed that Reapp had been having an extramarital affair and wanted out of his marriage with Grace. Although they didn't find any bodies, police believed that Grace and Gracie are dead--and that Reapp murdered them himself.
