  Case Story
  Accused Killer Seeks Revenge
Florence, S.C. authorities say Edward Windham was out for revenge on May 28, 2006. His target: Robert Allen -- the brother of a man who Windham suspected of ratting him out to police. According to authorities, the two men exchanged words outside the accused killer's home that day regarding Windham's March 2006 armed robbery. Investigators say the discussion grew heated when Windham accused Allen's brother of making a statement against him to law enforcement. Cops say that's when Windham pulled out a gun and shot Allen, fatally wounding him. According to authorities, he then went inside and retrieved an assault rifle. Unbelievably, Windham continued to shoot at Allen's family as they tried to get the wounded man into a car, investigators say. Authorities say Windham is considered armed and dangerous and has an inclination toward violence against police officers. They also say he has number of criminal offenses, including narcotics, burglary, assault, weapons, battery and traffic arrests.
