  Case Story
Mechanic Allegedly Murdered By Disgruntled Customer
According to cops, Justin Austin is the kind of guy who is obsessed with his truck. So obsessed, police say, he spent an estimated 20-thousand dollars to spiff-up his 1979 Chevy pick-up. But Austin took obsession to another level when he allegedly murdered the mechanic who helped him overhaul the vehicle. On May 11th, 2006, Austin headed to 2 Brothers Automotive --- an Englewood, Colo., body shop. Austin hired mechanics at the shop to help him make some major fixes to the more than 25-year-old vehicle.  But police say Austin didn't like what he saw when he looked under the truck's hood.  Instead of letting his temper cool, police say he took out his frustations on the shop's owner -- Ron Nickerson. Nickerson and Austin allegedly got into a heated yelling match. But when the fight was over, Austin said something that Nickerson's employees will never forget: he allegedly told them that they better find new jobs because someone was going to come and shoot their boss someday. Unfortunately, "someday" was only a short time later.

Austin allegedly stormed out the door, but cops say it wasn't long before he returned wearing a ski mask and gripping a 12-gauge gun.  Police say Austin leaned over a counter, pointed the gun at Nickerson's face, pulled the trigger and then made a run for it. Since then, police have charged Austin with murder.  Authorities think Austin could be headed to Arizona or Mexico.  Police want to stop Austin in his tracks and are looking for tips that could help them bring justice to Ron Nickerson's grieving family.
