  Case Story
  A Man With A Past
Jerry Dunn isn't supposed to be near children, let alone befriend one. On October 20, 1995, Dunn was convicted of raping a boy younger than 13 years old. After he was released from his eight-year prison sentence, he was registered as a violent sexual offender, and told to follow the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry rules. Dunn had other ideas.

  Bobby Makes A Friend
Police say Dunn befriended 14-year-old Bobby Greer. Bobby's grandmother knew of Dunn's history and grounded Bobby when she found out the two were hanging around together. Authorities say this didn't stop Dunn. Bobby ran away with Dunn on August 12, 2005. The police found a campsite where the two had stayed on Parker Road in Ash County, N.C. -- just across the Tennessee border.  The campsite was abandoned, but cops managed to find Bobby in Mountain City, Tenn. around Rainbow Road on August 27, 2005. Dunn was still nowhere to be found.

  Home Safe And Sound?
Bobby's family and police were relieved that he was found safe and sound, but the feeling was short-lived. He was brought home around 10:00 p.m., and was found to be missing again at 10:30 p.m. His grandmother searched for him until late that night, and decided to give him time to return home before she reported him missing once again. When Bobby still hadn't returned the next day, his grandmother filed another report with the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. Police believe he might still be traveling with Dunn, who is wanted for other charges.
