  Case Story
  The Black Mafia Family
Over the past several years, billboards sitting high above the Atlanta skyline boldly proclaimed "The world is ours." These messages to the city came from the self-proclaimed "Black Mafia Family," or BMF, a hip-hop empire conceived and managed by Detroit-bred brothers Terry and Demetrius "Meech" Flenory. The brothers took their bold mantra from the popular gangster movie, "Scarface," starring Al Pacino as a Cuban refugee who rises to the top of the Miami cocaine empire during the 1980s. In some ways, the Flenory brothers' lives have imitated art, with their million-dollar parties, fleet of luxury cars, and ready access to drugs, jewelry, weapons and women. But, soon DEA investigators determined BMF is not an act and the group was responsible for one of the largest cocaine distribution conspiracies nationwide.

  The October 2005 Indictments
In October of 2005, the DEA put the finishing touches on a lengthy indictment of both of the Flenory brothers and all of the known members of the Black Mafia Family.  Soon, much of the organization's major players were rounded up, including both of the Flenory brothers.  But, in Louisville, one major player slipped through the cracks...  Toree Sims. Cops say Sims was responsible for distributing 10-20 kilos of cocaine every two weeks in Louisville, Kentucky.  They say his main supplier was Flenory brother Terrence, out of Detroit.    Just like the rest of the BMF, Sims lived the high-life until the indictments came down.  He had a large home in Floyd County, Indiana; drove beautiful, new, expensive cars and had girlfriends all over the country.

  Sims Could Be Anywhere
The DEA and the U.S. Marshals are working together to track down Toree Sims.  But, they say, it won't be easy. Investigators say that Sims has access to at least two cars while he's on the run...  a fully-loaded BMW convertible and a black Ford truck.  He's got connections throughout the country, but especially in Detroit, Atlanta and Miami.  Also, police believe he has multiple girlfriends helping to stash this accused drug dealer away from investigators.
