Case Story |
|
| |
Eight Years Of Neglect And Abuse |
|
| |
Robin Lee Robinson was the mother of two girls who all lived with her boyfriend in the northern California suburb of Manteca. Robinson, a former Hell's Angel biker chick, and her boyfriend, William Lloyd Balser, met through a mutual voracity for drinking and drugs. Cops say Robin's two daughters would eventually be the two people most hurt by the union.
Police say that for eight years, Balser repeatedly physically and sexually abused Robinson's two girls. He began having sex with one daughter when she was only 9 years old; the other when she was 11.
Cops say that for a number of years Balser would have sex with the girls five to six times a week. The unfathomable thing is that Robin Lee Robinson stood by and allowed it to happen.
Police say that the girls were threatened with physical abuse and beaten numerous times. They also believe that Robin was beaten and abused as well. However in 1994, one of the girls had enough and went to the police. Balser was put in jail.
Yet, police believe that Robin coerced her daughter to say she had made the charges up. Robin told cops that her daughter had fabricated the whole story and Balser was released. Thanks to Robinson, Balser was back in their home and continued to molest the two girls for four more years. |

In addition to the sexual abuse, Robinson and Balser would have neighborhood parties where adults and kids would drink and drug together. Cops say it was not uncommon for Balser and Robinson to give the girls alcohol and pot.
February 18, 1998 would be a watershed day for the two girls. Still teenagers, they filed charges against Balser and Robinson and left home forever. The next day, police went to arrest Balser and Robinson, but they had skipped town.
Police believe that Robinson and Balser first fled to Las Vegas where they were wired money from sympathetic family members. A few days later, they returned to central California where their small Datsun pickup was found left in a farm field, two sets of footprints heading away from the truck.
Cops were able to track down Robinson later that year through a group photo in Thunder Press, a biker magazine. The article containing the photo was about at a riverside motorcycle enthusiast party outside Winkelman, Arizona that took place over Easter weekend in 1998. While cops believe that Robinson was at the event, no one has seen her since.
Police and family members believe that Balser and Robinson may have separated because they believe Balser's jealousy would have disallowed Robin from posing from the Thunder Press photo.
Robin Lee Robinson has been on the run for ten years and is currently wanted on sexual abuse and child endangerment charges. Cops say her driver's license and social security number have shown no activity for years, usually meaning that a new identity has been acquired.
Police believe that family members are helping Robinson and Balser cover their tracks and stay one step ahead of the law. |
