Drug Dealing Argument Leads To Murder |

It was late at night on May 13, 2006 when police say 30-year-old Jade Young got into an argument with Floyd Demetrius Rivers over drug territory. Police say Young had a semi-automatic pistol and tried to intimidate Rivers by putting it under his chin.
Cops say Floyd Rivers said something to Young, daring him to pull the trigger. Cops say those words hurt Young's pride -- and that he allegedly shot Rivers to prove his point. Once Rivers was on the ground, police say an infuriated Young continued striking his victim with the gun before finally shooting him three more times. |

Young hasn't been seen since Floyd's murder and police in South Carolina are trying to collect information that will lead them to this suspect. Young is a convicted drug dealer and police believe he may be working for a local drug dealer in the North Charleston area. According to police, Young likes to joke around and brag about how sophisticated drug dealership is in New York compared to the south.
His praise of New York may be the reason why he is known in the streets as "New York" and why he wears New York baseball caps and jerseys. Cops say Jade's mother and sister live in the Bronx but he also has ties to Columbus, Ga. and to Charleston, S.C., where his daughter lives. |
