An Evil Persistance |

On the afternoon of April 1, 2002, police in Boston discovered 26-year-old Adornous Hazelwood, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in his back. The victim later died in the hospital.
An investigation led police to 20-year-old Michael Bohannon. According to police, Bohannon and Hazelwood had a physical confrontation earlier that day that ended when Bohannon allegedly shot at Hazelwood--but the bullet didn't hit him.
However, Bohannon went to look for Hazelwood again-- this time police say he was determined to kill him, and he did. According to police, Hazelwood was standing near a group of people when he was shot, just a few blocks away from the house where he lived with his mother and sister.
Police charged Bohannon with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder but haven't recovered the firearm that was used in the crime. They consider Bohannon dangerous and say that he may be armed. |
