Independence Day Party Gone Wrong |

It was supposed to be a night of celebration, like every Fourth of July. But on July 4, 2002, an Independence Day Party organized by a group of friends at some neighborhood tennis courts in Broward County, Fla was interrupted by a fight. Police say it was 9pm when a verbal confrontation broke out. Some of the individuals involved in the fight left, but then returned ten minutes later to continue the argument, and this time the confrontation turned physical. Police say among them was 20-year-old Christopher Edwards who started beating some party attendees with a golf club.
Police charged Christopher Edwards with one count of Aggravated Battery and three counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and placed him on probation. Edwards was supposed to report to his probation officer once every month, but on September, 2005, he failed to do so. He hasn't been seen since. On December 9, 2005 police signed a warrant for Edwards for Violation of Probation. |
