Police in Granite City, Ill. have issued a nationwide Amber Alert for 5-year-old Makayla Christy, who went missing on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006 around 6:15 p.m.
The little girl is believed to be endangered and traveling with her grandmother, Deborah Gaye McFadden -- a 44-year-old woman who is reportedly out on bond from murder charges. According to police, McFadden has used several aliases in the past, including "Deborah Gaye Smiley" and "Deborah Rohrback."
Police say McFadden was driving a 2000 Mercury Sable with Texas license plate number Z25-DWM, and that she may be taking Makayla to Longview in East Texas.
Makayla was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with pink lettering, Khaki capri pants, and no shoes.
McFadden, a 5'4" white female with brown eyes and hair, was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a grey sweatshirt, and a black jacket. |
