My Story -- By Brenda Brown |
|
| |
Rachel wasn't a bad or mean person. She doesn't deserve this. I have found out that if you are not rich or well-known in this country, your life doesn't mean anything. On October 18, 2003, my pregnant daughter, Rachel Nicole Good, vanished from the town of Elkton, Virginia. We were notified the next day by her best friend. So my mother and I went to file a missing persons report.
Although police say it's still unclear what happened the night of Rachel Good's disappearance, they believe the last time anyone saw her alive was around 7:30 p.m. Several friends told police she was hanging out in a public parking lot in front of the Elkton Fire Department. |

It's going to be four years since Rachel has been gone. The investigator says we are a lot closer to the truth. I have my doubts. You hear about all of these communities helping each other out to find their loved ones. We didn't have that. No one around here wants to believe that something like this happens in our town.
Police report that they have recovered many of Rachel's personal items, including her purse and car, which were both left at her home. The only personal item not recovered was Rachel's cell phone. Although police can't release much information because of their ongoing investigation, they can confirm that even though Rachel's body has not been recovered, they believe her case is a homicide.
Rachel was a loving mother. It's painful that her body has never been recovered and that no one has been punished for her murder. This is one of the hardest things anyone can go through. It's so hard not knowing, not knowing what happened to her, what her last moments were, where the body is. |
