Maryland AMBER Alert Canceled |

Police in Maryland have found 22-year-old Sara A. Hernandez-Torres and her 5-year-old son, Isaac Hernandez. An AMBER alert had been issued for the two after they were allegedly abducted by a former boyfriend of Hernandez-Torres around 6 p.m. on Nov. 27, 2005.
When authorities stopped a Dodge Ram pickup truck around 10:30 a.m. the morning after they'd been abducted, the mother and son's alleged abductor, Carlos R. Delcid, was in the driver's seat. He was taken into custody. According to police, neither Hernandez-Torres nor her son had been injured during the ordeal.
Authorities believe the young mother and her son were forced into a red 2003 Dodge Ram by Delcid, a 41-year-old man with whom Hernandez-Torres had a relationship. Police say the abduction took place at the Wheaton Metrorail Station.
Police say Hernandez-Torres called her aunt from her cell phone, telling her she and her son had been abducted. Hernandez-Torres reportedly lost service before she could give her aunt more information. |
