Early Morning Attack |

It was around 7:30 a.m. on September 26, 2005, when Angela Boyle walked out the door of her Southaven, Mississippi apartment headed to work. The 20-year-old woman made a quick stop to see her boyfriend, who was staying in the same apartment complex. Angela said goodbye to her boyfriend and was walking to her car, when police say a man named Andre Davis approached her. Police say Angela knew Davis through her boyfriend, but probably couldn't have imagined what was about to happen next.
Detectives say Davis quickly grabbed Angela by her hair and began dragging her toward his car nearby. Police say the savage attack continued as Davis pulled out a handgun and began beating Angela in the head with the weapon. When Davis reached his car, police say he climbed into the driver's seat. Investigators say Davis then fired a shot into Angela's chest at point blank range before casually driving off. Witnesses heard the gunfire and called 911. Ambulances raced to the scene, but by the time they arrived, Angela was already dead. |

A History Of Violence |

While detectives searched for a motive as to why Davis would have gunned down Angela, they learned that it wasn't the first time Davis was accused of shooting someone to death. Police say Davis is also wanted in nearby Memphis,Tennessee for killing a man nearly five months earlier.
On May 31, 2005, police in Memphis say Davis shot and killed a young man named Charlie Gibson in the southeast part of the city. Officers arrested Davis six days later and charged him with the murder, but he wasn't immediately indicted. Davis bonded out and never showed up for his arraignment. Davis has since disappeared. Memphis police issued a fugitive warrant for his arrest.
Both Memphis and Southaven detectives are worried that a man accused in two separate murder cases is out on the street. Police say Davis may be hiding in Mississippi, Tennessee, California, Michigan, Georgia, or Florida. Detectives recently learned that Davis may have cut his hair and shaved off his facial hair to avoid being recognized. |
