Never Be The Same |
|
| |
The family of Bob Gilliam will not be able to rest in peace until there is a discovery about why this docile man was so brutally murdered. Our family will never be the same without the husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle in our lives.
Tamir Gilliam Stoddard saw her father, Bobby Gilliam, for the last time on October 17, 2003 at his home in Laurens County, S. C. He was going to go to a fish fry that night, and Tamir brought him the fish for his gathering and went home. They spoke later that evening on the telephone, but little did she know that was the last time she would ever speak to her father. |

Vanished Without A Clue |

"We were best friends," says Tamir. "When I got up in the morning he was the first person I called and the last person I'd talk to at night. I did everything for him. I can't put myself to believe that he's gone. The (grand) kids don't understand where he is and that he's not coming back."
Bob Gilliam loved to play cards nearly every Friday night with friends. He also enjoyed watching boxing and car races on TV and loved to travel. He owned his own landscaping business and loved to build things. Gilliam was a private man, quiet and very neat, but he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Tamir said that on Saturday morning, October 18, her nephew called her to see if she had heard from her dad. They were supposed to go shopping for shoes that day. She tried calling him, but didn't get an answer. She tried again on Sunday, but still no answer. On Monday she went to his house where everything seemed to be in order. But Bob Gilliam was nowhere to be found. |

Our Last Resort |
|
| |
The brutality of the end of his life affects each and every one of us every day. For many days and weeks our family did not rest hoping there would be a discovery to put all of this madness behind us. But the dream of finding the murderers of this beloved man has all but died.
On October 21, 2003 the rental car Bobby had been driving since his car had been in an accident a month earlier was discovered by a hunter in a field in Greenville County. According to police reports, the car had been burned and left in a power line easement. Then on Friday, October 24, 2003 Bobby's body was found in the same area.
According to police, Bobby did attend the fish fry and card game on October 17. He was reported to have left sometime early Saturday morning -- around 2:00 am and that was the last anyone had seen him. No warrants or arrests have been issued in relation to this case.
Please help us realize this dream of finding these culprits by placing Bobby George Gilliam's story on America's Most Wanted. I fee this avenue of public awareness will open new doors to this crime and help us find our answers...You are really our last resort. |
