AMBER Alert, Arrest Warrant for Non-Custodial Mother |

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing New Windsor, Illinois boy who police say was abducted by his non-custodial mother. Authorities said 10-year-old Devin Hankins was abducted from the bedroom of his home at 202 East Sycamore St. late Thursday or early Friday, September 1st or 2nd, 2005.
"He was last physically seen at 10:15 Thursday night," Mercer County Sheriff Tom Thompson said. "But we have reason to believe that it may have occurred early Friday morning, probably before 6:30 a.m."
Devin wears silver wire-rimmed glasses, his hair parts to the left due to a cowlick and he has a mole on his neck. He was wearing mesh shorts.
The boy was allegedly abducted by his non-custodial mother, Aimee Lynn Hankins, who is now charged with felony child abduction.
"We found on Saturday that we talked to some individuals and one of them has talked to Devin's mother," Mercer County Sheriff's Department investigator Jeff Dale said. "We believe Devin is with his mother as suspected. We don't have any location on them yet. We're still attempting to locate them."
Aimee Lynn Hankins is white, 34 years old, 5-foot, 125 pounds, brown hair and green eyes with tattoos on the left wrist and left forearm. The suspect's vehicle is a gray 1994 Ford Taurus with Arkansas license plates and the number 502GKP. |
