AMBER Alert Issued for Illinois Boy |
|
| |
A nationwide AMBER Alert for missing 10-year-old Devin Hankins of New Windsor, Ill. is still in effect. Devin was last seen in his bedroom on the evening of September 1, 2005. Cops believe the young boy's abductor is his non-custodial mother, Aimee Lynn Hankins, and say this is not the first time she has tried to take Devin.
"We found on Saturday that we talked to some individuals and one of them has talked to Devin's mother," Mercer County Sheriff's Department investigator Jeff Dale said. "We believe Devin is with his mother as suspected. We don't have any location on them yet. We're still attempting to locate them."
Authorities say that Hankins may be taking her son to Oklahoma or Washington, DC. Hankins' vehicle is a 1994 gray Ford Taurus with Arkansas tags, 502GKP. |
