Federal Officials Still Trying To Track Down Killer |
|
| |
On September 28, 1995, police in New Britain, CT made a grisly discovery. The body of a an unidentified woman was found near a shopping plaza on Hartford Road. According to officials, a man on his newspaper delivery route discovered the bloody body wrapped in sleeping bags and blankets.
Officials immediately checked missing person records and scoured the crime scene for any evidence of who might have murdered the young woman. But, nothing pointed cops to the cold-blooded killer. |

Officials Create Composite |
|
| |
With few leads to go on and time stretching on, authorities created a composite of the woman in hopes of identifying her. The victim had a pierced navel with a silver navel ring and was wearing a brown and beige "Croquet" brand striped pullover shirt. She was also wearing "Union Bay" brand bibbed overalls and tan "LA Gear" brand shoes. A "Gitano" brand wristwatch, a gold herringbone necklace and a ring with a pink stone was found at the scene.
But after ten years, the case has gone cold. Connecticut authorities still remember the unidentified woman and hope that someday, her killer will be brought to justice and she will be identified. |
