He was last seen hiking with some friends at a popular recreation in the area at Watagua Lake. The last known person who talked with six year old Dylan Johnson around five o'clock thought he was heading back down this path to rejoin his family.
Some say he was seen speaking to a white male and a white femele in the area. They were in a blue or gray Dodge Dakota with Florida tags. There is no tag number at this time. |

AMBER Alert Issued For Missing Six-Year-Old |

The Carter County Sheriff's Office has issued an AMBER Alert for six-year-old Charles Dillian Johnson. He was last seen on the evening of Saturday, July 16, 2005.
He had gone hiking with a neighbor to a popular recreation site in the Shook Branch area of Watauga Lake in Watauga, TN.
The last person to see him alive thought he was heading back down the hiking trail to rejoin his family.
Investigators said they don't believe the 6-year-old fell into the lake and drowned, but instead may have wondered up to a busy highway.
He was seen talking to some people in a Dodge Durango with Florida tags.
Johnson has brown hair, brown eyes, is four feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds. He has silver caps on his front teeth.
Johnson was last seen wearing an orange UT Vols tee-shirt and orange sweat pants. He was not wearing shoes. |
