Second Time On AMW -- This Time For Alleged Molestation |

When William Lane was released from prison, one of the conditions of his release was that he would go live on a family member's property in Ore City, Texas. Cops say he did that. But cops also say he did something much more sinister.
Investigators believe just two weeks after he was released from prison, he began to molest an eight-year-old family member. When they went to question him about it in February, he ran away. Cops want to track him down and put him behind bars -- again. And we are putting him on AMW yet again.

Lane Stages Daring Escape -- First Appearance On AMW |

Lane was originally arrested in April, 1990 for Conspiracy to Possess and Distribute Cocaine and Marijuana. He was a pilot for the notorious drug gang run by Sonia "La Nena" Berrios. He was sitting in prison in Puerto Rico awaiting trial in 1991 when cops say he concocted an elaborate escape plan.
Cops say two of his associates rented a helicopter, pulled a gun on the pilot, and demanded they land in the recreation yard of the penitentiary. The chopper landed -- and a firefight broke out. When it was all over, William Lane and his two associates had escaped. Two weeks later, Lane piloted a small plane to Colombia. That's when we featured him on AMW. Shortly after that, Colombian authorities turned Lane over to the U.S. Marshals. He pled guilty to air piracy and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute marijuana and cocaine. He would serve 11 years in prison in the United States. |
