Police in Walnut Creek issued an AMBER Alert Thursday, June 9th, 2005 after family members reported 5-year-old Jineva Belle Driscoll missing two days after she was last seen.Authorities believed the girl's mother kidnapped her and that she was suicidal. Investigators say they discovered that the mother left a note to the family indicating her body and that of her daughter would be found.Jineva was last seen at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 2154 Norris Road where authorities believed her mother, Mary Alicia Driscoll, abducted her, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office. She wasn't reported missing until Thursday.Jineva's mother, Mary Alicia Driscoll, 39, was described as a white woman, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.She was believed to be driving a white 2000 Dodge Durango with California license plate No. 4PGH849 possibly en route to Navaro State Park in Mendocino County.
The mother allegedly threatened to kill herself and her 5-year-old daughter, according to the sheriff's office. |
