Cops Say Father Took Children |

The suspected abduction of two siblings, Faith McDowell and Jaquan Wright, triggered a Levi's Call, Georgia's version of the AMBER Alert Tuesday morning.
Police say the children's father, Terrence McDowell, took the kids after he allegedly shot his girlfriend's father.
According to cops, the mother and the children were at her father's house. Terrence McDowell arrived at 3 a.m. on Tuesday. Police say he first knocked on the door before resorting to forcing his way in the residence armed with a gun.
Police say he then raped the 27-year-old woman and mother of the children at gunpoint. At some point cops say he heard someone in the bathroom. It was the woman's father's girlfriend. Police say McDowell then took both women to his girlfriend's father's room where he shot the father eight times in the face and upper torso. McDowell's girlfriend managed to escape the home and tell a neighbor what happened.

That's when police say McDowell fled the home with the two children in tow. Four-year-old Faith was last seen wearing a pink shirt and she has white beads in her hair. The 5-year-old boy was last seen wearing a red shirt. McDowell is described as a 27-year-old black male, about 6'1'' and weighing aproximately 180 lbs. He has a low hair cut and was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
The girlfriend's father was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition. Police say McDowell may be driving the victim's 1998 green Kia with the license plate A-R-L-5-7-8-3. |
