  Case Story
Cops Say Meth-Using Mom Abducts Her Daughter
When 8-year-old Alyssa Henderson left her home in Sand Springs, Oklahoma with her step-sister to wait for the school bus on February 15,2005, she had no idea a predator was watching.  But police say this was no random predator--it was Alyssa's own mother, Tina Lambert, a known meth user. As Alyssa stood innocently waiting for the school bus, witnesses say a black pick-up truck sped around the corner. They say Lambert opened the passenger door, grabbed young Alyssa, kicking and screaming, and sped away.  Alyssa's terrified step-sister ran back into the house crying to let her mom know what had just happened. Alyssa's stepmother notified police immediately.

Police Find Driver of Pick-Up Truck
It didn't take long for police to catch up with the driver of the black pick-up truck.  Police say the driver told them Tina showed up at his door at 7 a.m. asking him for a ride to go pick up her daughter.  He claims he had no idea that he was taking part in an abduction.  He says after he realized what was going on he forced Lambert and Alyssa out of his car and fled the scene.  After being booted from the "getaway" car, Lambert and Alyssa were left alone to walk a mile and a half on Highway 97.  Soon they were tired, and police say Lambert and the girl walked to a home off the highway to a stranger's house.  Police say Lambert asked the owner of the home if she could use the phone. The older woman obliged.  She says that while Lambert used the phone, young Alyssa removed an angel charm from her charm bracelet and gave it to the woman.  The woman then agreed to drop the pair off at a nearby convenient store in Garden Ridge. There, police say they were picked up by another friend of Lambert's driving a white two-door car. They were reportedly driven to a Desert Hills Motel.

Cops Get Tip Leading to Motel
Shortly after they checked in the motel police, received an anonymous call that Lambert and Alyssa were at the hotel in room 120.  But when police showed up at room 120 they were no where to be found.  It turns out Lambert and Alyssa were actually in room 135 and were able to escape while police were checking room 120.  Police fear for Alyssa's safety.  They say Lambert is a known drug abuser and has frequent arrest under her belt.  Alyssa was last seen wearing a yellow and white striped T-shirt, blue jeans, with white Nike tennis shoes and carrying a yellow backpack with Tweety Bird on it.
