Husband Is Prime Suspect |

Fred Rosato and his wife Elizabeth met and married in the 1970's. But family members say their marriage was a far cry from bliss--and the two butted heads frequently. So when Elizabeth asked Fred to move into the basement of their home in Yonkers, New York, no one was surprised.
The family believes much of the tension between the two stemmed from the fact that Elizabeth had recently earned a master's degree in psychology from Columbia University, while Fred had been unemployed for eight months after losing his job in the food processing industry.
Cops say Fred frequently taunted Elizabeth and allegedlly threatened to kill her on more than one occasion. They believe he made good on his threat in July 2003. |

A Son's Worst Nightmare |

Elizabeth and her son Sidney were very close and talked regularly, and Sidney grew worried when he couldn't reach his mother. On July 25, 2003 he and his cousin stopped by to check on her and made a horrible discovery-- Elizabeth lying face down on the bathroom floor in a pool of blood.
Yonkers Police say that Frederick Rosato is wanted for questioning in connection with Elizabeth's death. |
